10 Rules For Breaking Into TV Directing $100

There are many paths to becoming a DGA/ Episodic director and we all have different journeys. But based on my experiences and those of my colleagues, I’ve observed that successful directors had these 10 things in common. If you’re serious about becoming an episodic director, these must be a part of your arsenal.

Creating Killer Reels $150

Is Your Reel Ready? Your director’s reel is an essential part of your toolkit. It’s a visual representation of your talent. Studios, execs and showrunners view them to determine if you’ve got what it takes to take the helm of one of their shows. Your reel represents you, your visual eye, your creativity, your command of production, your ability to get great performances from actors and your skills for storytelling. This class will show you how to select the best footage and music for your reel using examples from both professionals and reels you submit to give real-time critiques and feedback.

Shadowing Do’s & Dont's $100

Getting the opportunity to shadow a TV series is a wonderful way to get your foot in the door as a director. Knowing how to navigate in this space is essential to you having a successful shadow that could get you one step closer to an episode. Learn from my mistakes and triumphs along with insight from some key execs, producers and directors.

Mastering Meetings & Interviews $100

If you’re trying to break in to TV Directing or TV Writing, you’re going to have to go to meetings. Tons of meetings. It can be exhausting or feel futile, but it’s not! Meetings can get your hired or on the approved lists for shows.

In most situations you only have 15-20 minutes to connect with someone and convince them you’re the one for the job. This class will share  things you can say and do to make the most of that limited time and master your meeting!
